All schools have an action plan which looks at how to improve aspects of the provision for the children, families and staff in the school.  Below is the summary document for our 'Journey to Excellence' plan.

Journey to Excellence priorities – an overview

Priority 1: This priority area allows us to move towards the following Trust Priorities:

Ensure our curriculum offer allows all of our pupils to achieve more and identify with their school community and society as they journey through each of our schools and work closely with our University sponsor

Curriculum

1.1 Further improving standards in reading, writing and maths so that all pupils can apply knowledge in a wider range of contexts.

1.2 Embedding the Explore curriculum so that all subjects have a clear and progressive sequence of learning, especially in Art, DT and RE.

1.3 Developing a talk curriculum so that all pupils have the confidence to articulate themselves appropriately with a range of audiences and purposes.

1.4 Enhancing the small steps curriculum in EYFS so that adult interjections robustly support pupil progress in all areas of learning.

Priority 2: This priority area allows us to move towards the following Trust Priorities:

Invest in and support our staff so that they collaborate to strategically raise the standards all pupils reach and embed evidence-based practices that have an impact on pupils’ learning and identity

Our People; Our Learners

2.1 Align staffing model and responsibilities to delivery of improvement in outcomes for pupils.

2.2 Reduce persistent absenteeism.

2.3 Improve emotional support for high-needs pupils.

Priority 3: This priority area allows us to move towards the following Trust Priorities:

Ensure our curriculum offer allows all of our pupils to achieve more and identify with their school community and society as they journey through each of our schools and work closely with our University sponsor

Ensure our Trust identify and narrative, including our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion commitment, is known to our communities within and outside of the Trust, so that they see, help shape and benefit from being part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust.

Infrastructure and Capital

3.1 Increasing the number of EdTech tools for learning that are available to pupils.
